The
International English Language Testing System
(IELTS) is a standardized test to assess English
language proficiency of non-native English speakers.
It measures the four language skills of listening,
reading, writing, and speaking. IELTS is accepted
by over 10,000 organizations
worldwide, including universities, employers,
and immigration authorities. It is available in
two formats: Academic and General Training, and
is scored on a 9-band scale.
